What did I do in the last 45 days?
Apr 17
When I received the e-mail about the Paleo Challenge, I thought, “Why not? I’m already doing it.” So I signed up, got my body fat measured, timed an initial 2k row and started keeping a food and exercise journal. For 45 days, I was strict Paleo…well, I did have wine at a wedding reception, which resulted in some points getting deducted. Other than that, I think I did pretty well.
Actually, if I can boast a bit…I know I did.
Initial info:
weight – 220 lbs
body fat – 35%
2k row – 10:05
and the results are……imagine a long pause here to make it more suspenseful.
weight – 207 lbs
body fat – 29%
2k row – 8:57
In 45 days, I dropped 13 pounds and 6% of my body fat. I also cut my row time by more than a minute, but that could actually be due to getting a helpful lesson on efficient rowing. Overall, I’m happy with my results.
This isn’t over though. While I did cheat a bit over the weekend (pizza, one beer and a Cadbury Cream Egg), I’m continuing on the Paleo journey. I know I’m not where I need to be yet, and there is still a lot of work to be had. Those numbers can just keep on shrinking.
So did I win? While the results have not been released yet, I’m good win or lose. In fact we’re all winners.
Ha! I almost had you believing that, didn’t I? I totally want to win.
What did you do in the past 45 days?

I trained for my first 1/2marathon @age 59! Which I all complete 4/28
Way to go, mom! Proud of you!
