Day 12 – Something I am OCD About

Aug 11

This is actually a hard one for me. I, personally, don’t think I’m OCD about much. I’m sure there are others that wouldn’t agree, but seriously, I actually don’t know of one.

So I asked the Hubs. He thought for a quick second and said, “does your habit of washing clothes, folding them, and then not putting them up count?” No, I don’t think it does, but this obviously is something he is OCD about.

The Hubs and I do not do laundry together. He does his, and I do mine. It works for me because then I don’t have to worry about messing up his stuff. He is always on it when it comes to doing laundry. As soon as the wash cycle is over, he transfers things over to the dryer. Then as soon as the buzzer on the dryer goes off, he’s taking his clothes out, folding them and putting them up.

Me, on the other hand, tend to forget about the laundry. I’ll remember the next day that I need to actually dry my clothes. Once dry, I have a habit of either just leaving them in a pile on my floor. I do eventually fold my clothes, but half the time they don’t make it to the drawers. The nicely folded clothes are put into their respective piles – t-shirts, pants, shorts, etc. – and left on the floor. It’s not a good habit, but I’m kind of lazy that way.

This is one habit I’m trying to break. I need to be more on top of my laundry and dusting and vacuuming and pretty much all things cleaning related. Now I sound like a big slob, but really I’m not. I just tend to enjoy doing other things besides cleaning.

So I still have not really answered the topic for today, but really I just can’t think of anything. Maybe I should become a little more OCD about things. I think the Hubs might appreciate it.
