Trash TV

I’ll admit it. I can let others know and be only slightly embarassed by it. It’s not like an addiction or anything. Occasionally, I watch trashy reality TV. Tonight I had Jon and Kate on for a bit. It’s the one where they are talking about how things are hard and how the paparazzi are hounding them. Excuse me? Did you not invite the cameras into your house to film you and your eight kids? Have you not been reaping the benefits of your TV show?

These two seem to be good parents to their brood of eight. The kids are relatively well behaved and healthy. It’s the parents that I think are sick. They have bought into their fame and seem to forget that they’re supposed to be parents. Jon is immature and can’t handle being second fiddle, but he sure has no problem getting a new bike, going on ski trips and partaking in whatever freebie the show affords him. Kate is just fame hungry. Most people seem to think she’s this uber-bitch that just puts him down, but I understand why she can seem a bit pushy. Have you seen how completely oblivious he is? Now I don’t know these people in real life, but please stop your complaining about any sort of invasion of privacy or pressure of the show. You invited them in.
